MEMSA EMT-B Testing
July 19th, 2014 – Members of the St Louis Public Schools – Fire/EMS Academy training staff spent Saturday assisting the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association evaluators with administration of the Basic Emergency Medical Technician practical skills test at the University of Missouri Nursing School in Columbia Missouri. These exams are a critical to the students progression and licensure with the State of Missouri as EMT-Basics, as well as registration with the National Registery of Emergency Medical Technicians. These psycho-motor skill testing stations include critical life saving skills such as, medical and trauma assessments, splinting of an injured extremity, immobilization of potential spinal injuries and several others. Academy staff regularly work in conjunction with the MEMSA staff to faciliate the the NREMT testing exams both at the academy as well as on remote sites throughout the region....
